At Tooliva, your privacy is not a feature — it is the foundation everything else is built on. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and why.

What Tooliva Is

Tooliva is a collection of free online tools that run directly in your web browser. Things like image compression, text formatting, color picking, and developer utilities. Most of these tools process your data entirely on your device. Nothing you type, upload, or create gets sent to our servers.

What We Collect

We keep things simple. Here is exactly what we collect:

  • Server logs. When you visit any page on Tooliva, our web server records your IP address, browser type, the page you visited, and the time of your visit. This is standard practice for every website on the internet. We use these logs to detect security threats, debug errors, and understand general traffic patterns.
  • Theme preference. If you switch between dark and light mode, we store that choice in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device.
  • Analytics (optional). We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools like Plausible or Google Analytics to understand how many people use Tooliva and which pages are popular. These tools do not track individual users across websites.

What We Do Not Collect

This part is important:

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identification information.
  • We do not collect or store the data you enter into our tools. When you format JSON, compress an image, or generate a password, that happens in your browser. We never see it.
  • We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data to advertisers.
  • We do not use fingerprinting techniques to identify your device.
  • We do not require you to create an account or sign in.

How Your Data Is Processed

Most Tooliva tools use JavaScript running in your browser to process data. When you compress an image, the image stays on your device. When you format code, the code stays on your screen. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

For the small number of tools that do require server processing (like our PDF tools), your file is processed immediately, stored temporarily for a maximum of one hour, then permanently deleted. We do not keep copies of your files.

Cookies

Tooliva uses a single cookie to remember your theme preference (dark or light mode). That is it. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies. For more details, read our Cookie Policy.

Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics. Helps us understand site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish between users. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Cloudflare. Provides content delivery and security services. Cloudflare may set cookies for security purposes.

Data Security

We take security seriously. Our website uses HTTPS encryption, regular security audits, and follows industry best practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Tooliva is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
